Explore Mount Vernon, the beautiful 18th century plantation of President George Washington and the most historic estate in America. Today, 500 acres of this historic estate, garden and farm has been preserved along the banks of the Potomac River in Virginia. Tour 20 structures and 50 acres of gardens as they existed back in 1799. Visit the historic "Mansion House Farm” where Washington and his family lived and the grounds which include woods, rolling meadows, serpentine walkways, pleasure gardens, groves of trees and sweeping vistas.
